Thresh0ld relies on secure multi-party computation (MPC).  MPC is a cryptographic technique capable of signing valid blockchain transactions without the need to use and/or store private keys traditionally used by regular and multisig wallets.  No private key is ever created nor recombined by any the computing parties to perform valid cryptographic signatures.  None of the MPC computing parties knows or stores any portion of cryptographic private keys anywhere at any point.
